Date Seed Coffee Classic Roast is crafted from 100% roasted and ground date seeds, offering a nutty flavour with less bitterness for those who prefer a milder, smoother cup. A naturally caffeine-free coffee alternative, sustainably made from a part of the date that would otherwise be discarded.

Taste profile

Earthy and roasted, closer to chicory or dandelion root coffee than to bean coffee, with a milder body than the Dark Roast. It won't taste identical to coffee since there's no coffee bean in it, but most reviewers describe it as a genuinely satisfying substitute.

Brewing tips

Prepare just like regular coffee, in a French press, drip brewer or espresso machine. Use 1 to 2 tsp per cup. Enjoy black or with milk for a smooth, creamy cup. Perfect any time of day.

Is Date Seed Coffee (Classic Roast) strong, or does it taste weak?

Classic Roast is the lighter of our two roasts, so some coffee drinkers find it mild on the first try and prefer more body. If strength matters more than subtlety to you, Dark Roast is the richer option. Several reviewers who found Classic a little light preferred switching to Dark for that reason.
